Our Story

One dance floor. Two Florida kids. An ocean between them.

Some of you know this story already, but for those who don't… it's a pretty good one.

It all started on a dance floor in Byron Bay, Australia.

Falyn wasn't even planning on going out that night, but thanks to a little convincing from her roommate (and perhaps some divine intervention), she found herself out dancing.

And that's where she met Cody.

She thought he was Australian. He certainly looked the part.

Turns out, he was American.

And not just any American.

He was from the exact same hometown in Florida.

Of all the dance floors, in all the places, on the other side of the world… there they were.

But wait. It gets better.

On their first official date, less than 48 hours later, they discovered their dads had grown up on the same street in Delaware.

AND Falyn had spent her childhood fishing on Cody's uncle's boat.

Meaning their lives had been orbiting each other for years, with countless opportunities to cross paths.

But apparently, the Universe had other plans.

It took a dance floor in Australia, thousands of miles from home, for the stars to finally align.

What followed was two years of flights, FaceTimes, ocean crossings, and finding ways to make two very different lives fit together.

Cody landed a job with an Australian company that brought him back every few months, while Falyn started making more trips to the States.

For a while, it looked like Cody might be the one making the big move to Australia.

But then there was Captain. 🐾

And let's just say the plans took a slightly different turn.

So after years of calling Australia home, Falyn decided to take another leap across the ocean.

Not because either of them knew exactly how it would all work out.

But because some things are worth finding out.

What followed? A chapter of van life, plenty of adventures, a beautiful home tucked into the mountains, and a shared love for a life that's never been particularly conventional.

A few more adventures, a whole lot of love, and one very happy ending that is really just the beginning.

And we couldn't imagine celebrating this next chapter without all of you.
